DESCRIPTION:The Texas Fringe all about imagination! We support creative\, original works of art across numerous venues on the TJC campus and across Tyler. We connect artists with audiences in exciting new experiences. The original fringe festival in Edinburgh was a festival of "the uninvited" in 1947. It was a collection of theatre companies who were determined to perform for an audience even though they hadn't been to the grand halls of the festival. They performed in alleys\, pubs\, and in the streets - "On the fringe" of the festival at the time. What arose was an annual festival that displays some of the most creative and innovative performance art in the world. The Texas Fringe Festival carries that attitude into the piney woods of East Texas. We are all about connecting energetic artists with enthusiastic audiences. For three days in June\, the Cultural Arts District of TJC is bustling with Art\, Music\, Dance\, and Theatre!
