The 2019 Honorees include: Dr. Ming Lu Dr. Lu graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1999 and specialized in Ophthalmology. He has been treating patients for the last nine years in the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System. Dr. Lu is one of only approximately two thousand Retina Specialists in the world! He treated our 2014 Miracle Child\, Micah Read who was born in our NICU. It was Dr. Lu's groundbreaking technology that helped saved Micah's eyesight from complications of retinopathy of prematurity. Kornpop Kornpop McCullough began his clown career at the age of twelve\, when as the class clown\, he wrote a report on "Running away with the Circus." His teacher introduced him to a retired circus clown named Popcorn\, who gave him the name Kornpop. Although named David at birth\, after clowning for thirty years professionally\, he legally changed his name to Kornpop in 2017. Kornpop's love for kids has led him to clown on six continents but he prefers clowning for his kids\;children with special needs or those who are going through a difficult time.
